Many have heard about the earthquake in Haiti. The earthquake that destroyed the lives of so many, but one that also presents an opportunity to us to gain good deeds by helping those in need of help. You all know how beneficial to us it is to give, to give charity. It is highly recommended, and obligatory at the time of Zakat.
“Allah will deprive usury of all blessing, but will give increase for deeds of charity: for He loves not creatures ungrateful and sinner.” (Qur'an, 2: 276)
“That which you give in usury for increase through the property of (other) people, will have no increase with Allah: but that which you give for charity, seeking the Countenance of Allah, (will increase); it is those who will get a recompense multiplied.” (Qur'an, 30:39)
Abu Hurairah (RA) reported Allah’s Messenger (SAW) as saying: “Charity does not in any way decrease the wealth and the servant who forgives, Allah adds to his respect; and the one who shows humility, Allah elevates him in the estimation (of the people).” (Muslim)
"Those who spend their wealth for increase in self-purification, and have in their minds no favor from anyone for which a reward is expected in return, but only the desire to seek for the Countenance of their Creator Most High; and soon will they attain (complete) satisfaction." (Qur’an, 92:18-21)
And spend something (in charity) out of the substance which We have bestowed on you, before death should come to any of you and he should say, “O my Rabb (only God and Sustainer)! Why do you not give me respite for a little while? I should then have given (largely) in charity, and I should have been one of the doers of good.” (Qur’an, 63:10)
May Allah the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful give us opportunities to do many ways of giving sadaqah for His pleasure and reward us , especially in the Hereafter. May we spend our lives, time, money and efforts and everything within our capability to do deeds that Allah accepts as forms of sadaqah solely for His Sake. May our Rabb save us from the Hell-Fire by protecting us from being miser. Ameen.
From part of a Hadith:
"Charity is proof (of one’s faith). "
This is a very important subject(Sadaqah), and Insha' Allah I may make a larger post on Sadaqah in the future.

Motorola Droid
ASAK Everyone
Have you seen the Motorola Droid? No? For those poor, deprived, have-not-lived-til-they-have-seen-it people:
Check it out. DROID by Motorola is fast. Like scary fast. You can blaze across the Web with a massive processor and Verizon’s powerful 3G network. You don’t even need to type! With Google Search™ by Voice, you just tell it what you want and DROID searches the Web to find it. You can switch between up to six apps at once! Choose a few (or a few hundred) from Android Market™ and try it yourself. DROID won’t bother you while you’re running those apps. It keeps disruptive alerts at bay in a handy expandable notification panel.
It’s a pint–sized power plant. It’s location–aware. Voice–recognizing. App–mashing and multi–tasking. It can see through walls. And connect you to anyone or anything at break–neck speed. At some point, power and intelligence mean something more than a phone. At some point, you have yourself a DROID by Motorola.
Yeah...the thing about seeing through walls...you might want to look into the accuracy of that statement before buying the phone. Anyways, after doing that free advertising for Verizon Wireless...I'm done with this post, and onto the next.

If you want to see this phone in a variety of other poses, the web will probably offer you more than you would ever want. I LOVE IT. I'm a Verizon Wireless user,
and my contract's ended, so Insha' Allah I plan to get a new phone before or during this summer. And it might be this beautiful gadget. I could list many, many of the awesome features in this phone, but for your convenience, I have simply pasted a flattering summary of the phone from http://www.verizonwireless.com/, so that if you buy the phone and don't like something or find that they have scammed you, you know who to complain to.

IMPORTANT: REGARDING FOLLOWERS AND THEIR UPDATES
Assalamualikum Everyone.
Unfortunately, it looks like you will have to re-subscribe, or re-follow this blog.
First, stop following the blog. Then, follow again. Then you will receive your updates. I tried this with my own account(one of the benefits of being a follower of your own blog), and now I have received updates from this URL web address.
Turns out that when you follow a blog, you're following the actual URL. So, even though on the blog it shows that I still have all of you as followers, you really aren't getting any updates because you're subscribed to the old URL: muslimteenissues.blogspot.com.
OK, then.
Assalamualikum.
Step-by-Step: How to "Re-follow":
1. You'll see the words "sign in" in orange below where it shows all the followers on the blog.
2. Click "Options", also in light orange
3. Click "Site Settings"
4. Then click "Stop Following this Site"
5. And then just Follow the blog again by clicking "Follow".
This is only required for those who were followers on the old URL; http://www.muslimteenissues.blogspot.com/

This is the Last Time, I Promise....
Insha' Allah, this is the LAST time I am changing the blog address.
I feel more comfortable with http://www.myniyyah.blogspot.com/ than the other two.
For those of you who don't know, niyyah means intention.
I guess I'll have to go edit all those notices on the old blogs saying that the blog has moved...again...
I'm going to cease posting on the blog for a week or so for everything to settle down and so y'all know I really am keeping the blog at this address, and also, hopefully, for the updates and everything to continue as normal.
